I have my IPF6400S working perfectly on a Mac Mini running Sierra 10.13.6.
Now I tried to install the diver on a 2018 Macbook Pro (2,9Ghz I9). I connected the printer with a USB to USB-C adapter.
I installed the correct driver, and then ran Image PROGRAPH Printer Setup.app
It does not find the printer.

Greetings,
If I had to guess, I'd say the issue might be related to your USB to USB-C adapter

I thoght of thatt, too. The funny thing is that the printer is found and identified in the System Prefs>Printers, but not in Image PROGRAPH Printer Setup.app.
But through ethernet, it seems to work OK.
I's just that I hate unsolved problems, they ruin my sleep…
