My Canon MF733cdw prints out sheets with cyan speckles / spots distributed randomly throughout the printed pages, and the quality of the black is diminished. However, if the sheet has colors, the spots / speckles don't appear, and the black is good. It seems to me that this color laser printer has two different process; one if the page is only black and white, and the other for color. What is happening?
I've used the printer menu to access all the cleaning options, and I've wiped down the toner cartridge housings without effect. My work-around is to add color to every document, if I can. Is there a real fix?

I've observed that the spots / speckles are not present if you add color to the document. The color, position, or amount of the color doesn't seem to matter. It seems there's a different printing process when color is used that avoids the anomaly. Also, Amazon notified me that the black genuine Canon cartridge, was in fact a knock-off.
