I can't register my printer MF642Cdw
Error shows : Must start with 2 - 5 letters
I have a serial number that starts with 2 then 2 letters then 5 numbers but that message keeps popping up.
Any reason why it is not working?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, nycderek,
Currently, our product registration system does not allow registration of products starting with numbers, which affects the imageCLASS MF642Cdw. The problem has been escalated and is being corrected. I do not have an ETA for when that will be completed; you may need to try registering the printer every few days until the system has been successfully updated to allow it. Thank you for your patience.
In the case that you need it, product support for the MF642Cdw is still available, even if the printer is not registered.
If you have any further questions, or require any assistance, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (652-2666), Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET (excluding holidays).
