Canon - PIXMA MX922, work w/MAC OS X 10.5.8? & with non-Canon ink?

On the  Canon  PIXMA MX922, will it work w/MAC OS X 10.5.8 (in the CNET specs, it says YES, in other listings, it says NO).

Also, Q # 2,  can it work with  non-Canon ink?  Again, in some reviews iot says YES, in others, it says NO.
