Canon MF4770n will not scan on Mac Catalina 10.15.1

Hello,

My Canon mf4770n will not scan to my Mac running Catalina 10.15.1. The printing function still works.

When I try to launch the MFtoolbox kit, I receive a message "Cannot communicate with any of the scanners. The scanners may not be connected or turned off."

If I go through applications>printers/scanners and select the scanner then >open scanner... I recieve an error "the operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.imagecapture error 4294957375.)(-9921)"

Previously, the scanning function worked fine, I recently upgraded to Catalina and therefore the two issues may be related.

Fixed by dowloading the seperate "scanner" driver. You'd think they'd be combined into one printer/scanner driver download.....
