Black Ink head Issue - MAXIFY GX6021

Hi,

We recently purchased a new Maxify 6021 which only has had Canon Ink used in it.  The Black printer head

despite head cleaning, AND REMOVAL FOR MANUAL CLEANING, shows terrible lines in black text only.

Please bear in mind this printer is approx. 6 months old, lives in a clean Air Conditioned Office and really should not be exhibiting this kind of behavior at this stage in its short easy life.  Any thoughts?  If the color head is used, for example dark blue, their is no issue.  Thanks Daniel

Hello, 

The issue could be caused by air in the ink line or a problem with the hardware. I would not suggest removing the print head and manually cleaning it. In this situation, I suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. They can check the hardware to see what is going on and check if the print head is damaged.
