Can Selphy Ink Cartridges be recycled? Would these be accepted at places where typical color printer cartridges are recycled?

Greetings,
Stores such as BestBuy, Office Depot and Costco often accept spent ink and toners for recycling. We have a recycle yard where I live that takes inks and toner as well.

I would think that what ShadowSports said is true. You can take them to a big box store like BestBuy, Staples, etc, But be aware that the film in the cartridge has your pictures on them. I have only gone through the sample cartridge so far, but I plan to pull out the film from the cartridges as I finish each. No strangers need pictures of my granddaughter.
It's easy enough to pull out the film without having to break the cartridge.
