Do SELPHY CP1500 Print Settings Work At All?

I have a Selphy CP1500 and sometimes I would like to make basic adjustments to some of my less than ideal phone photos. I have changed the Print Settings but this makes no difference to the printed images, including what finish the paper is. I have tried printing via wi fi, via a usb cable from my laptop, and tried printing from an SD card but ran into all the usual problems of saving images on to an SD card, having read on another forum that the print settings only work when using an SD card. So if it's true that the print settings only work when printing from an SD card, then they're pretty useless if you can't save jpegs onto an SD card. Is there something I don't know?

Hi RK040,

The app does not allow for any adjustments of the images on your phone.  Please use your phones Photo app to adjust the image settings before sending it to the printer to print.

The print settings are for images printed from the CP1500 itself by using a memory card or USB flash drive:

"Several print settings for printing from memory cards or USB flash drives can be changed. Settings apply to all relevant printing, so there is no need to complete the settings for each image. Note that default settings are restored after you turn off SELPHY. Depending on the type of image or the application used, it may not be possible to configure some features."
