After many years of usage i am now getting a line on the reverse sider of every card I scan and yes I tried cleaning.

Since it's only on the back, it is the the upper scanning unit, probably a speck of dust or debris. Did you thoroughly inspect the upper glass?

Yes and cleaned about a dozen times still putting that line in

Try canned air. This is more likely dust or debris as my colleague @FloridaDrafter mentioned and not a failure of the unit /scan sensor.

Did you use a little bit of isopropyl alcohol or just a dry cloth?
I've also resorted to a bright light (side light) to catch debris, and one time, a little nick.
