Shipping delay?

I know that this is an odd subject, but has anyone had any trouble purchasing anything from Canon and then having trouble with the delivery? I needed my camera when promised, on Monday and here it is Tuesday and still no camera or help from FedEx or Canon. Sorry for the venting here. I was just hoping someone from Canon reads this post.

Greetings,

It sounds like the issue is with the carrier.  Have you checked tracking information in your MyCanon Acct?

Thanks. I did check the tracking information on MyCanon Acct and it was no different than what got by tracking through FedEx.  Package was out for delivery

Who promised it?

A lot can happen from the time something leaves the shipper to when it gets to you. I've had shipments expected in 1-2 or 2-3 days that just don't work out that way.

FedEx original delivery date was the first promise by email. And when they missed that date, Tuesday was promised per phone call and verified in an email FedEx sent.

I concur; occasionally, adherence to specific deadlines is paramount. Therefore, order lead times are determined based on seller shipping estimates, and delivery dates are agreed upon. However, unforeseen circumstances, such as carrier delays, can arise. In my experience, this has occurred at least four times previously, with FedEx consistently being the common shipping provider.

Thats typical.  Remember when prime actually meant 2 days.  😋

I am in a similar situation. It has been now 4 days since FedEx marked the package as "Out for Delivery" and package has still not been delivered. How do you contact Canon Customer service about a missing package? I see no such option on their website, and the 1-800-385-2155 number also has no options for claims regarding missing packages.

Please select the option to "place an order" when calling to bypass the system and speak to a representative!

Following contact with customer service, I was informed that once the package is in the shipping company's possession, their intervention is limited. The customer service representative contacted FedEx, but obtained no further information than I had already acquired. Therefore, the responsibility for the situation appears to rest with both the shipper and FedEx. I would be willing to pay a premium for the use of an alternative shipping carrier. I trust that others experiencing similar service from FedEx will register their complaints.
