I just registered my 6th product on the canon site and the first 5 all asked me to enter in the serial number, even after purchasing the carepak and adding it to the product, theres still no where to add the serial number. Is that not important anymore or just my end that its not asking for it anymore?

Greetings,
In my experience, you need to supply a serial number in order to register a product. A CarePack covers a registered product for the agreed term.

Exactly, so where is that option to type it in. It's not on the form anymore. There wasn't a box on the register page nor the carepak page. I only have the carepack num
it even says "Your product should not be registered until you are able to confirm the model name and serial number", but yet theres no where to input it.
I just now checked again bc I bought another new lens, the RF 100-500, and it asks for the purchase date and the serial number, but tried to again to register the other one the RF 50 1.8, and yet again it does not ask for the serial number.
Why would one ask and not the other?
