Maybe I am just dumb but I can’t figure out a way to do free lensing on my canon r6m2, the screen is just black and won’t take a picture. I loved using that technique for creative shots on older cameras of mine, including the m50m2, and would love to be able to do it on my r6m2.
Any idea on how to accomplish this?

If you mean take an image without a lens attached, it is in the custom functions

As kvbarkley stated, go to "Custom Functions 4" (orange menus) and enable "Release shutter w/o lens", see page 957 of the advanced users guide.
I fooled with it [free lensing] for a few minutes, but couldn't get a decent image in the EVF. Maybe because MILC's have a closer flange than DSLR's, but I don't have much patience when it comes to stuff like this.
Good luck 🤔
