Did you mean:

I must say Canon has the worst warranty policies of any retailer to date....

My G15 has been in service 3 times now and they cant fix it, in total it has been in service for about 2 month. Their rediculous policy and customer service doesnt allow to just send me a new camera and call it a day....

I just replaced my Vizio 60'' TV that costs $2k without any issues the 1st time I called, and before that replaced Westinghouse TV, they just gave all my money back 1 year later to purchase any new TV in store. G15 is just a small $400-500 camera....stop beeing cheap and send me a NEW ONE morons

and yes, i wouldn't bother registering if they havent pissed me off so much....3rd time they actually tried to charge me for repair that they havent done right the 2nd time.

It would be nice if you provided a little more info.  The G15 is, and has been, discontinued for some time.  Are you sure you still even have a warranty?

What was the problem? My association with Canon has been very good.  Actually better than most other big companies.  Certainly better than brand-N.

EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV and less lenses then before!

Spoiler

It's been having lens problems, retracting, focusing, etc. LCD also had dead spots and was replaced. Yes it's under warranty. In all cases if product is not available or discontinued, manufacture supposed to ship current model which is G16 or provide a full refund if they can't fix it.

I've had many warranty claims in 20 years. Manufactures have been shipping brand new units without any questions and in some cases even without proof of purchase. I've been dealing with Canon for since end of 2015 when I first sent it for repair.

"I've had many warranty claims in 20 years."

Hmmm, ...!  I have never had one.

I started Canon in the early 80's.  I use them professionally for my career.  They get used constantly.  Usually everyday.  Still do even though I am retired now.  I know that is meaningless to you but it does show Canon makes good gear.

How are you using the G15?  Is there any special conditions?

I didn't say Canon makes bad products, I said their warranty sucks

I am not a pro, I just use G15 on vacations few times a year etc. This time it ruined 50% of pictures due to some issue that Canon failed to fix. It's getting fixed for over a month now this 3rd time.

Dealerships replace cars if it goes in service 3 times for same issue, Canon too cheap to replace a camera.

Update. Got the camera back. At first they wanted to charge me $250 for a repair, then agreed to fix it for free since its the 3rd time its going in for the same issue. Well turns out they didnt find anything wrong with camera and ended up fixing nothing in 1 month in was sitting there. I asked why they wanted to charge me $250 before.....they dont know, I asked if there is any warranty on current repaire, they said no....

Did you include a detailed description of the problem, and directions on how to reproduce the issue?

"The right mouse button is your friend."

Yes I did. Funny thing is that when they though I had to pay they wanted to fix something I guess since there was a charge, when it ended up being free, they said there is nothing to fix since they can't reproduce the issue, later told me they wanted to charge $200-250 just to look at it. It all made zero sense. When I asked what if I can reproduce the issue later, they said it's too bad since "courtesy" repairs are not covered warranty.

Try the other brand next time, and then let us know how you make out with them. On second thought, don't bother.
