I celebrated by buying a Canon FP 35mm camera. I had never seen one at a--what I consider--sane price in supposedly fully operational condition. Then one popped up for the LOW price of $21 for the body promising to be in good condition. It arrived 100% operational. I sourced a 50mm FL mount lens for it which has not yet arrived. I'm rather adept at shooting with an handheld meter. I have a pristine Pentax KM with a dead meter that I love shooting with. The Canon FP seems very intuitively designed unlike some cameras (I'm looking at you, Nikkormat), so I'm looking forward to running some film through it.

I'd love to snag one of the goofy but gorgeous Canonflex SLRs.

Very cool on the Canon FP 35mm purchase!

I know you and I have talked a bit about film before.  Just curious - what are your favorite film stocks?

Mine (in order of favorite listed first):

1. CineStill 50D - I know you need bright light, but the colors are pastel and gorgeous

2. Kodak Pro Image 100 - I like how the colors are not overpowering

3. For B&W infrared I really like the Rollei Infrared 400.  Foliage really looks bright white, unlike a lot of newer infrared films.

4. ...and for regular B&W the ever popular Ilford HP5 400 - How can you go wrong with such nice grain?

So what are yours, Lee?
