Hello, I have a CanoScan 9000f that was working perfectly 4 days ago and now is not. The scanner is not detected and cannot be accessed. I have tried hooking it up to multiple computers, none of them will detect the scanner. It will also now only turn on after it has been unplugged and plugged back in, after turning it off it needs to be unplugged for it to turn on.
Trouble shooting that I have already done:
use different USB cables
connect to different USB ports
unplug and replug scanner
restart computer
different computers
after all attempts to get it working the farthest that I can get is the scanner turned on. If there are any trouble shooting tips or suggestions of why the scanner is not connecting they would be greatly appreciated.

Owen,
I think your trubleshooting has pointed out some serious issues.
Printer cannot be turned on without disconnecting / reconnecting to power first.
and
Does not detect when connected to different devices using a different USB cable
Sounds like a significant problem / malfunction. Maybe its time to consider service or a new scanner.
