Hello,
Ive had the canon 750d since it first came out. I’m trying to get back into using it again instead if paying for a new camera as I haven’t used it for a good few years. I’ve recently got a 50mm pancake lens which I like but the autofocus hasn’t been very good compared to the kit lens. What other lenses would you suggest to try? They seem to have a lot of second hand lenses now they don’t make DSLR lenses anymore but not sure which ones to go for. I’m into portrait and landscape photography

i love landscapes and portraits, my family travel a lot and the opportunity to snap images are endless! i’ve got a 20D and a 17-85 zoom , a 55-250 tele, and 24 f2.8. those 3 lenses never failed me because it served its purposes very well. a wide-normal for landscapes, street, portrait, and family, a normal-long for solo subjects, and a fast prime for indoors and low-light conditions.
there are no right and wrong lens choices in my opinion. what you have has always been sufficient. only your creativity and goal are the main factors that are important. my first SLR in 1976 was a Canon AE-1 with FD35 f/2. for 4 years i’ve never made a second lens purchase. what i had was enough for my needs.
good luck!

What is the autofocus problem?
What specific lens (complete name, please) is it? There IS NO Canon 50mm "pancake" lens. Canon's pancakes are the EF 40mm and the EF-S 24mm.
EF and EF-S lenses are still available new but the used market is a great moneysaver. Stick with the good used dealers....MPB.com, Roberts Camera/UsedPhotoPro.com, KEH.com.
What one lens would be a good choice depends on your needs. An EF-S 18-55mm STM (two different ones) is a good versatile one, as is an EF-S 18-135. Both are versatile and inexpensive.
