EF lens adapter recommendations for future mirrorless camera purchase

What’s up y'all, first time poster here in Canon forum, boom 💥 here’s my question, currently own a DSLR, all my lenses are EF mount. Looking to buy a R body, and I understand I need an adapter to use my EF lenses on a R body. (I understand you can’t go the other way) Is a Canon brand adapter necessary or is it ok to go with an unbranded name? I’ve found a few on eBay and but just curious or is it better to go with Canon? Appreciate ya’ll

No, 😊 you make a good point. I never use the Canon strap and prefer Black Rapid. But I do like the Canon brand hand strap. I have several of them.

In my defence I probably should say only in case of accessories with glass or electronics 🤔

My reason for using Canon lenses is to get support for digital lens optimizer in DPP. If I used rawtherapee all of the time instead of sometimes, then other lenses would be fine.
