Hello, all of a sudden my Canon RP touch screen has become unresponsive. I can't control the focus points (that feature is on in the menu), and I can't even tap on-screen buttons such as Q.
UNLESS, I flip the screen out and rotate it 180 degrees (still rear facing, but outside of the body). In that position, everything works fine. If I rotate it back (front-facing), or put it back into the body (rear-facing) it no longer works. Sounds to me like a connection problem in the screen articulation, but I figured I would check in case anybody has some bright ideas. Thanks.

Canon support says it's probably a loose connection between the LCD and the mainboard.
Sending it in for repair. $350, ouch!!
