I've used the program many times on this laptop. In fact, I used it last week. Suddenly, the program stopped working and would not open. I uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall it. Now it will not install at all. Every time I go to install the program it says ''Service 'EWXService' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.'' I am the administrator on the laptop and as stated I had it previously installed and it worked fine until it didn't.
I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it.

It'd be nice to know what program you are talking about.

EOS Webcam Utility Pro. Maybe I am missing something, but I thought that was obvious when I posted it under the EOS Webcam Utility Pro discussions. Do people post about other programs on this discussion board? Honestly, I am new to this.

I apologize for any confusion on my post.
- What Canon product are you using?
Rebel t6. No problem with the camera. Problem is with EOS Webcam Utility Pro which would not open. I uninstalled it so that I could reinstall it and it now will not install to the same computer it was previously installed and worked on.
- What software are you referencing?
EOS Webcam Utility Pro. Maybe I am missing something, but I thought that was obvious when I posted it under the EOS Webcam Utility Pro discussions. Honestly, do people post about other programs here?
- Which version of Windows or macOS are you using?
Windows 11. I ran the software on here last week. It ran perfectly fine.
- Do you connect your Canon device using USB or Wi-Fi?
Canon USB cable that came in the EOS webcam accessories kit.

This is the Internet. People do some crazy things.
Thank you so much for the updated info. One last question: Are you using the most recent version of the EOS Webcam Utility Pro from https://canon.us/ewu
If you are running the most current version of the EOS Webcam Utility Pro, all things being equal, you may want to contact support so they can go through one-on-one troubleshooting with you. They're at 800-652-2666 during the week from 9am to 6pm (ET).

Quick correction: The error says EWCService failed to start, not EWXservice.
