hi
yesterday my t3i started behaving strangely.
I turned it off, after two hours I take it and it was warm, with the battery almost empty.
it didn't turn on. I had to remove the battery and put it back to turn it on.
if the battery lasted 2 hours i don't think the camera drained too much energy, but the camera was almost hot.
what could be ?
thanks !

Excellent! Make sure to use genuine Canon batteries. Lots of counterfeits out there that can damage your camera.

"...but the camera was almost hot."
Obviously a bad battery. Was it a genuine Canon brand? Off brand cheapo batteries can explode which in the end does not make them very cheap. If you replaced the battery with another off brand, you might reconsider that decision.

i use only genuine equipment. but that battery was 5 years old... so maybe it is only old and tired 😄

"i use only genuine equipment."
Then it is very unlikely the battery was at fault. Not totally out of the question but unlikely at best. I would look elsewhere or not trust the camera. Perhaps a C&C is in order.
