You are welcome! My first serious digital camera was a 1D mark II back in 2005 and I shoot primarily sports!

I am not sure about one person's advice but you do need to do as Rodger recommends and do a full reset. Since the 1D Mk IV is a old used camera who knows what may be set. Also keep in mind 10fps depends on SS as it has to be quick enough for the camera to physically be able to do 10fps.

Thank You. Yeah I mean why not right, seems simple enough. 24 buttons on the body so once you dial in , it's Happy Hunting

Yes I was but seriously, I have the ability to take a camera like this and after 10 minutes its now a rubics cube to getting back to the setting I want simply from ignorance of my equipment haha so I do appreciate the time

It probably has the previous owner’s copyright so check that.

That lens is NOT capable of 10 fps. Only the newer version 2 of the lens is. This is because the aperture opens up and closes between shots. The camera does NOT hold the aperture closed between shots. In older lenses the communication speed is slower thus limiting how quickly the aperture can stop down. But the camera will automatically slow down for lens the lens’ maximum frame rate.
