canon r7 freezes in between the shoot

I have brand new Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Camera. I use canon efs lenses with a Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R . when I take a picture the shutter goes off and it's like it freezes, red light stay on in the back. Camera won't turn off, you have to pop battery out.

it happens with canon 10-18mm efs , 70-200mm f4 L series non IS ,50mm 1.8 stm.

sometimes happens during video but thats rare, usually during photos.

camera firmware is also latest.

bikram,

The red light on the back indicates that the camera is trying to write to the card. If it stays on, it usually indicates that there is a problem writing to the card.

Let's go through a process of elimination. First, try formatting the card. Did that change anything? If not, try a different card. If you still have the same problem try taking off the adapter, and put on an RF lens. Does that make a difference?

I am having the same issue except it is Error 70 on the Canon R5 Mark II.

It happens intermittently however when using the touchscreen to change the focus box menu it will trigger the sensor to freeze and the whole camera freezes just as you said, or it wont display anything but a black screen either on or off.

Please start a new thread for your issue.  Thanks, in advance.
