canon SL1/200D how to adjust the microphone input while shooting a video?

Hi everyone
I just bought the Canon 200D, SL1 an amazing camera.
I just couldn't manage to find where to adjust the mic input when shooting a video and I also cant manage to disply the audio level meter when shooting a video.
I had an 80D and these functions where readily available.
Any ideas if the 200D has these functions?

Do you have an SL1 or an SL2?

In any case, put the Camera in P mode, many manual features are locked out in the automatic modes. If you look in the manual, you will see a star that indicates that you must be in a "creative zone" mode to see this, like P.

Hi
I have the SL2
I am using it in manual but still when I start video shooting I cant see the audio levels I have aready changed the viewing mode from the guide to the standard but still cant see it

Is the *camera* in manual mode or the *audio setting*?

I don't think you can see the meters when you are recording, just before as a sound check.

yes my sound recording is set to manual

The *Camera* has to be set in P mode to see the sound level meters.

both the camera and the sound recording are on manual.
I have tried puting it on P mode but it also did not show the sound levels when recording video and I could not change the sound recording level.

You cannot change or view the sound levels while recording, only before.

This feature was is available on the 80d so it does not come with the sl2 ?

The SL2 is an entry level camera. It is limited in many ways compared to the 80D.
