What is the (Video) Dynamic Range for Canon T6i????! Is it 12 stops? I'm talking about Video not photos. I know cinema cameras have 13-14 stops. What does the T6i have?!!?!?!?!

Not to be mean Mr_Fusion but, its for "Video Dynamic Range" it says it in title here. Audio has nothing to do with it. Here's a link. https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-dynamic-range-in-photo-and-video. I'm just trying to figure this out. It's been bugging me and some of my other friends.

Rule of thumb:  If the manufacturer does not brag about it in their specifications, then that specification is not worth bragging about.

I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!! "A Canon DSLR typically has a dynamic range of something like 10-12 stops, while a professional-level cinema camera such as the ARRI Amira has a dynamic range of something like 14."

I hate to throw cold water, but Canon DSLR covers models ranging from the SL1/2 to the mighty 1 series, and a number of sensors and DIGICS. I doubt that all those cameras have the same dynamic range!.

Why would you assume it's the audio?

I was on the phone with canon and they said the T6i had 12 dynamic range both for photo and video.

Great, glad you got an answer.
