Video Microphone for EOS RebelT3i

Hi,

I need to begin video recrding interviews and looking for a suitable external microphone to go with my camera, but I can't seem to find which one would be the best fit. Do you have any recommendations at all?

Microphones can come in different styles: boom, on-camera, lapel, etc.  The Canon "Video Creator" kits include the Rode VideoMic GO Microphone, which seems to be a mono microphone with a 3.5mm(1/8") connector.
