The Led is partially burnt out inside my Canon 6d view finder.. any suggestions?

Those are actually called 7 segment displays. Each segment is an individual LED making the number 8. It' probably a bad connection or a burnt out IC.

Any idea how to repair/replace it and how much to replace it??.... do I need to sent back to Canon?

I supect that display is a component on a circuit card meaning all the 7 segment displays are soldered to a common board. Unlikely you could fix it yourself. Just getting to the board would be very hard by looking at my T6i. I'd send it in that way if it's not the circuit board and something else you know it's going to get fixed and not you just changing parts. I work on robots for a living and I wouldn't even attempt to repair that myself.
