Hi there, I assist a photographer that shoots a canon R5 and we generally tether to capture one. I was curious what camera settings I need to adjust to ensure the images record to the SD card and an external hard drive while shooting.
thanks!

Tethering with Capture One does not allow images to be saved the camera cards and saved on the computer.
Canon's free to use EOS Utility software does allow you to save images to the camera card, the computer, or both camera card and computer. If the camera is shooting RAW + JPG you can even choose to only send the JPG to the computer while both RAW + JPG are saved to the camera card.

Right on, thank you Brian.
When we shoot with a Sony, we are able to set the camera to record to both SD card and the external hooked up to the laptop, regardless of what we’re tethered to, Lightroom or capture one. However with the canon, I was unsure how to change the utility settings to do the same.
Thank you again.
