Is the card access light flashing? You might try re-formatting the card.

First reset it. Than call Canon 1 (800) 652-2666

If its not the card, or being caused by the lens (which I seriously) doubt... I'd perform a full reset, custom menu's as well., then retest.
If that fails, it might be time to call Canon.

Good idea to reset the camera back to factory defaults. Make sure the camera Wi-Fi is disabled, too.
