T7 vs SL3: Recommendations for everyday pics and sports photos

Looking to buy a new camera mainly for everyday pics, but also want something that can take great photos at my kids games. I’ve been back and forth between Rebel T7 and EOS SL3???

I would suggest you also consider the mirrorless EOS R50 as it is in the same price range as the Rebel SL3. Then you would be getting the latest advanced tech in a compact lightweight and easy to use package. Both the Rebel T7 and the SL3 are older DSLR type cameras, and the newer EOS R50 easily outperforms them for accurate subject tracking AF, image quality and video capabilities.

You can opt for the standard RF-S 18-45mm lens or the slightly larger, bit wider ranging RF-S 18-150mm lens. Sports might need something even longer, and I would suggest you look at the RF 100-400mm as it is a good balance with the EOS R50, though it is more suited to outdoor sports rather than indoors.
