I recently purchased a used T5i and Pro Master 64GB SDXC card at a local camera shop. I took 20-40 shots in the shop and it worked great. I got to a Big Band show, took 2 pics and received the Err 02. I reformatted and reinserted the card and still had issues. Back to the camera store the next day and of course it wouldn't give the error. They replaced the SDXC card with a new one. I upgraded the firmware to 1.1.5 and for 2 weeks (about 55 pics) didn't have an issue. Today as I was taking some pics, the error pops up again! I absolutely love the camera and quality of pics and videos I've been able to take, but this error is a pain!
Other than "take the camera back"...are there any other suggestions?

They replaced it with the same make/model, etc. I'm thinking I should get a 32GB from Best Buy or the like and try that...

Try Sandisk or Lexar brand.

Low level format in camera or just format?

Always format the SD card in the camera. Ditch the Pro Master and do get a Sandisk or Lexar. If this doesn't work the camera is probably faulty.
BTW, never use the micro SD cards with the adapter. They never work correctly.

Heading to Best Buy today to get a San Disk 32GB...hope that is the fix! The camera was a trade-in by a long-standing customer that "took very good care of his camera", so...by believing the sales guy...the SD card is the only real variable in the equation.

Really doesn't mean anything. Anything made by the hand of man can and will eventually fail at some point.
The store you bought it from should take it back or exchange it for you. How long have it been?

Good idea. Avoid buying the mini-SD cards, with the adapters. The adapters make them highly unreliable.
I hope you have been in contact with the "sales guy" and the store, to let them know you've had problems.
