I recently discovered that the flash on my device isn't working. Every time I attempt to use it I receive the following message:
Error 05: The built in flash could not be raised. Turn the camera off and on again. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciated it. I have turned it off and on again so many time and still receive the same message.

Flash may be stuck or jammed.
Press the flash popup button and carefully try to raise the flash by using a credit card as a pry device. If it doesn't pop up that way (meaning it is likely jammed vs stuck) it will need repair.

"Flash may be stuck or jammed."
Unless you hit it while it was up it is more likely just gummed up. I use m y fingernail to "help" it up. The camera only tries for a short time so you must do it quickly. If you are successful try to clean the mech with some alcohol.
