I am very new to this but I am in search of a good camera for sports/action shots (baseball/football) Mirrorless preferred. I don't need a super high end since I am barley starting out but don't want a cheap one that wont do the job while I'm learning. please help! TY!

Well, to me these are the options

  • R1 - The flagship but a prohibitive price.
  • R3- To me still the best with a better price than the R1
  • R5 mk II - No as good as the R3 but if you tend to do heavy cropping then this is the answer.
  • R6 mk II - Less resolution than the R5 but very capable camera.

Having a 24 MP sensor it's an advantage for sport photography. Keep that in mind. In short, a 24 MP sensor provides a sweet spot for sports photographers, offering a blend of speed, detail, and low-light performance while remaining efficient in terms of workflow and camera performance.

As my colleague said what is your budget. It won’t do you good to suggest a camera that’s out of budget.
