How do I find the shutter count on a 80D?

You can get 'a' shutter count from several places or ways but you can only get the true shutter count from Canon service.

The camera does not normally report this (there is no menu, etc. to check it... nor is the shot number embedded in a photograph meta-data, etc.)

 

”officially” if you send a camera in for service or tune-up, you can request that they also report the shutter count, and Canon will give you that info.

 

But there are a handful of 3rd party utilities that fetch the shutter count from the camera.

 

If you have a Mac, there’s a utility by Dire Studio called “Shutter Count” ... and it’s not very expensive (a few dollars).  They used to make a windows edition, but stopped (not sure why).
