Rebel T7 flashes black and white on video mode and pictures come out as pink and white.

Hi! I brought my camera on our trip to NYC and everything was working perfectly fine until I took a picture and the preview showed up as pink (with subtle white lines). I went into the photo gallery and it was the same. Then when I tried to take a video, I went to the video mode and the camera screen started flashing black and white and it has been doing that since. I've tried to reset the camera settings but I couldn't find a reset camera button when I went to the menu and I have looked everywhere possible on the camera. Please help. My camera is a Canon EOS Rebel T7.

In both cases (video and live view modes) the system is reading directly off the card and not using the optical viewfinder.  It sounds suspiciously to a failing sensor to me.  Personally, I would contact Canon support at 1-800-GO-CANON and have a chat to them.

Sound like a failed memory card or image sensor.  What happens when you put the camera into Live View mode.  Same a video mode?  If so, I think your camera needs to be serviced.

When I put the camera into Live View Mode the same thing happens when it’s put into Video Mode. Another question, was this a user error or simply a malfunction/accident?

I would agree with Tronhard to where the issue may be the camera's sensor no longer functioning as intended. You may send your EOS Rebel T7 camera to our facility for service.
