I am trying to update the firmward for my Rebel T6 and it just says lost connection. My end goal is to be able to download pictures right to my phone through the NFC feature. Any suggestions?

Greetings,
Not sure what FW you are on now. You can update 2 ways. Download the FW file, unzip and place the .fir file in the root of your SD card, or allow the EOS Utility to do it for you.
If you have an unreliable connectiion between your camera and computer, putting the file on the card manually might be best.
Note:
NFC transfer is avaialble for Android v10 or 11, so ensure you have one of these running on your mobile device. Canon Camera Connect should be used if you are running anything earlier.

Hi
Thanks for the response. It was on the SD card we just didn't know how to start it. We turned the dial on the camera to manual and got the option to update on the menu. That was the step we were missing.
Happy to get it working now.
