I am concerned about shutter ware. The shutter of Canon 5D Mark II is said to last about 150K actuations which is very little if shooting deep microphotography focus stacks. So my question is whether using EFSC (silent mode 1) makes any difference on shutter ware.
If shooting in Live View with EFSC ON and using remote control does mechanical first shutter curtain stay down between shots or is it reset between each shot? Or does the mechanical first shutter curtain stay down between exposures and only second shutter curtain resets?
If mechanical first shutter curtain does not reset between shots in Live View does it mean that the 150K shutter actuations "limit" does not apply if shooting in Live View with EFSC On?
Still in other words, does it make any difference in terms of shutter ware whether one is shooting EFSC On in Live View or EFSC OFF and mirror unlocked?
This might sound like a strange question but it is quite crucial if doing animated microphotography .
