I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I had looked for the Delete Post option but couldn't locate it.
Here's a quick update. I later discovered the one pin on each of the 5D Mark II port was bent, using a VisibleDust sensor loupe. Took me a while using DIY tools that are small enough to reach inside to unbent the pins. So glad all that's sorted and I'm back in business. It's obvious looking at the USB port, the 5D mark III has a more robust design in that such accident would not cause the issue I encountered.
