Hi. I am a photographer working in a passport photo studio, in Iceland. We take pictures for passports, driving license and standard portraits. We need to be able to work fast and sometimes the connection works perfectly. But sometimes, randomly it seems, the connection to the camera is lost and I have to select them manually through Lightroom. I am hoping this is something very simple that I simply do not know and would really appreciate some help.
The computer we/I use is an iMac M1 with Sequoia 15.3.2.
I have tried different cables (not using the wifi as this has to happen really fast).
Can it be an issue with some settings in LR and if you believe it is, what am I doing wrong? Because sometimes it works!! 🙂
All help appreciated, thank you.

I don’t have a specific answer, but EOSU can be fussy if another program might be accessing the camera. Can you tether successfully using LrC without having EOSU running? Do you have any other programs running that wants to access photos like Dropbox o One Drive?

Thanks for replying 🙂
Yes I can use a cable to import the pictures directly without the EOSU running but then I need to unplug the camera and select the new pictures manually. I don't have any other programs running (I think) but I use LR. Can that be the problem? that LR is "stealing" the pictures and EOSU disables because of that? I have gone through everything over and over again and don´t find anything but the strange thing is that sometimes this works perfectly, but other days/times it doesn't. Sometimes it works if I turn the camera off and on and off and on.... sometimes suddenly the EOSU connects and it works until it doesn't.

If LrC is shutdown (not just paused) I don’t think that should matter. do you have a linked software to EOSU, like DPP4? What version of EOSU?
Canon hasn’t officially released a version of EOSU compatible with macOS 15, so there may be some instability issues.

EOS Utility 3.16.12.4
I was hoping there was something very simple that I just did not notice, but hopefully this bug will be fixed soon and EOS works with my computer.
Thank you for giving you the time to answer 🙂
