Hi- I have the R7. I used the iPhone app to download the update onto my memory card and followed the prompts to update the firmware (1.1.0 to 1.4.0), but it seems to be stalled and I can’t select “ok” to start the update. I’ve waited 15 min without OK being an option. Ideas?

Greetings,
Please use the control dial (rear) of camera to move focus to "ok". This will be a tap at the "3 o'clock" position. Then press the set button to perform the update. Do not touch any buttons or controls while the operation is performed.
If this is not possible, let us know and we'll provide further troubleshooting.

Hi I need help with the firmware update for the R7 ... so confused.
I clicked on the link and got manuals in several different languages ... so where is the firmware, please?
How do I get it on my computer and then to the memory card? Where is this extraction I should have? The directions on the Canon website are useless ... I would appreciate step-by-step ..
Something is on my desktop, but what comes next? I have an empty card inserted into the slot. Where is the update to put on the card? I presume the card gets inserted back into the camera. What do I do? How do I get it on the camera? Does it do it automatically once the firmware is on the card and in the camera ... I thought I clicked on the right download. Thanks in advance
