I've updated my r6 to the 1.4.0 and I was curious to try the ETTL<->M custom button function but when I press the button nothing happens and the flash (godox v1) stays in ETTL. What am I missing out?
Also I cant find the FEM function in Flash Custom Function Setting in the menu.

The E-TTL <-> M custom button function added in the 1.4.0 firmware only works when a suitable flash or trigger is on the camera, currently this means specific Canon Speedlites.
At the moment I am only aware of the following units that support this.
Some Godox triggers do have a similar function called TCM, standing for TTL Convert to Manual. However I have not been able to make this work with an EOS R6 Mark II running 1.4.0 firmware and using the new custom button function.

Thanks! I thought that would be the case of the flash supporting this feature.
And what about the FEM function? What is it exactly? And is it something that has to be supported by the flash?

FEM is flash exposure memory. When this function is enabled and you take a photo using ETTL automatic flash, the sender unit retains the power level that was used for the last exposure. If you then switch to manual exposure the previous ETTL power levels are set as the initial values for manual flash exposure.
If I needed to take a number of headshots of people in a meeting room. I would setup the lighting and position the person at the end of the table. I take one photo with ETTL then switch to manual to use those same settings for each of the other people who will be photographed. Then all my pictures have consistent exposure.
