Yesterday I took some headshots with my R5 (with updated firmware) and RF 85 f/1.2 L lens. My shots ranged from f/1.6 to f/4 aperture settings. The subject had false eyelashes and without exception the camera focused on the eyelashes and not the eyes with the R5 eye autofocus. I don't believe any of the photos have the irises in sharp focus (unlike other shoots where the subject had natural lashes). Amazingly even at f/4, the irises remained soft in focus. Thoughts on why this is happening and how to address it when working with subjects that have false eyelashes?

How long are the false eyelashes?
If the Eye AF isn’t working in this scenario, then disable it and try something different. The camera is probably doing the best it can do. I would have thought locking focus on eyelashes when shooting a f/4 would also capture the eyes in focus, too.
