R10: Wanted To Use The LCD To View What I Was Shooting

Cantrell
Rising Star

All,

I have an R10. Last night I took some pictures. I wanted to view what I was shooting through the LCD instead of the viewfinder. When I turned the LCD around so that I could see what I was shooting I could only see the Screen Information Settings. I use Screen Information Settings number 5 (analog settings). I had to use the viewfinder. What do I need to do so that I can use the LCD to view what I am shooting? Thank you in advance.

Have you tried pressing the info button to see if live view view works. By default the camera shows the metering settings.

Cantrell,

If you go to your manual, and in the Table of Contents under Setup, look in the 15th subheading or subchapter under Screen and Viewfinder display. It will explain how you can setup your camera to use the Viewfinder, or the screen or both.
