EOS R5 Mark II Questions: How to display level? Zebras, peaking at the same time? and more...

So i got a new R5 MII and i am a bit puzzled by a few things:

-Periodically in camera level goes missing, and no amount of pressing info brings it back. Any ideas whats happening there?

-Is there no option of having zebras and peaking display on at the same time? at the moment it give me one or another, and if one is on, camera will just ignore command to turn on another one.
-Is there a way to get rid of the text when camera starts about recording time is set in yellow and camera may switch off?

Greetings,

Please start by confirming the actual model of the camera that you own for us.

Your title says R6 Mark II. The message body says M6 II.

that was my mistake its R5 Mark 2, 1.0.2 is the latest version.
any tips on other questions are well appreciated

Hi pavkung,

First, you need to upgrade your R5 Mrk2's 1.0.1 firmware to the latest 1.0.2 firmware which came out 12-05-2024.  That will have some fixes and upgrades.  Also, Rick mentioned that he heard a rumor that a new firmware upgrade for the R1 and R5 Mark II may be coming sometime mid January.   Stay tuned and upgrade your firmware as it may fix some of the issues your having, or not.  🙂

I also recommended reading the R5 Mark II latest manual to learn your camera's capabilities (what it can do and can't do).  🤷

Cheers,
Joe

Greetings,

R5 mkII

Camera Menu tab 8.  Zebra setting > enable

Focus Peaking

AF menu tab 6.  Peaking > enable

I don't know how practical it would be to use both at the same time, but that depends on the photographer.
