Hello Chris.
I hope you have fun with your new hobby.
I guess the first place we should start is by asking you if you have a camera. If so, what kind of camera do you have?
There are tons of videos on the Internet on how to take pictures, but I think the best place to start is learning about the exposure triangle. You can do a Google search for that and that will get you started in learning about shutter speed, aperture and ISO and how they work together.
In the meantime, if you do have a camera, put it in A+ Mode, (the little green symbol on your top Mode dial).
Go out and take a bunch of pictures. Try to keep your horizon level, and make sure your don't have any odd things in your frame that you don't want to have.
Let's find out if you have a camera first.

Welcome back! I too jumped back in recently ,after some years away. You'll probably find a lot of knowledge will come back to you with minor prompting which is nice 🙂
Similar to others i suggest checking out youtube and the internet for tutorials.
It may take a long time to learn the camera's settings for auto exposure and autofocus. Cameras nowadays have so many options! You may want to go full manual or full auto for awhile to cut through the confusion.
Modern cameras have some great tech you will probably like.Look up:
'Focus peaking' to aid manual focus), Image stabilization (both lens and body types), Focus tracking (eyes, heads, animals etc), HDR ,In-camera panorama, customizable buttons(or groups of buttons),exposure simulation rear screen. And ive likely missed a few!
One other thing i discovered- owners manuals for modern cameras are so complicated i found it easier to search the internet for specific queries! "Cheat sheets" can be useful too
Have you bought any gear yet?Do you need advice on that?
