My T3i stops recording mid-video

I have a T3i which frequently stops recording mid video.

•  I have a class 10 card
• The card's been formatted
• It's only after a few seconds and then just stops.
• There is plenty of room on the card

Any ideas what is wrong?

Is it a name brand card purchased from a reputable source?

There are lots of counterfeit SD cards that may not perform to the specs on the label.

I believe so. It is a Sandisk which I bought from Radioshack

Which Sandisk card is it?  

Is this Sandisk card blue?  If so, you've got a Sandisk "standard" card (Class 4) and that card has a slow transfer speed -- to slow to keep up with video.

You need a Class 10 card... that'd be a Sandisk Ultra, Ultra Plus, Extreme, Extreme Plus, or Extreme Pro card.
