I was just in the process of setting up triple back button focus on my R5 and noticed something while customizing the three upper buttons on the back.
When you select either AF-On button OR the *(AE-lock) button, and choose to set them at Metering and AF Start for either of those buttons, you get a detail button (info) at the lower left of the screen that you can press to allow you to select: AF Operation, AF Method, and Servo AF Characteristics. However, if you go in to program the upper right button on the back of the R5 (AF Point Selection button) and choose to put it as “Metering and AF start”, that “detail” (Info) option is not there.
I was wondering if this is by design for some reason, or is the missing “Detail (Info)” option possibly just a minor bug?

It’s by design unfortunately. So it will use the current camera settings rather than override them like the AF-ON and * buttons can
