What exactly is it not doing, as this lens is fully manual with no electrical connections to the camera for focusing or aperture then I can't understand what your problem is.
There is one thing that should be set with your camera to use a manual lens, that is:
Menu> Yellow tabs> Cust Fn.> Release shutter with no lens.
Once set this will make no difference to using it with normal lenses.
