Did you mean:

I really wanted an R7 until

I had decided I was going to drop some cash on an R7 until I found out about not allowing third party manufacturers to make RF lenses and the IBIS problems going on with the R7. I mean, it's a new camera, there are bound to be some issues...no biggie. It only becomes a major problem when the blame is being placed on everyone else...or the company tries to pretend they don't understand the problem. Much as I hate to say it, this has pretty much changed my mind to go look at Sony's offerings. Pretty annoyed about it too.

Just for reference, here is a current user who has thoroughly described the problem I am referring to.

I didn't investigate because I was not prepared to get an R7 - it's not a camera that suits my needs.  So, far from emotionally being caught up I am providing intellectual honesty.  The exercise that this person performed need far more detail - preferably videoing the actual process and results.   I cannot replicate the "experiment" that you refer to, and it's not my responsibility - that is the scientific and honest statement to make under the circumstances..  The person providing the conclusions and making the allegations has that.,   You have to ask yourself if you are doing the same -  I think you are seeking someone to agree with the conclusion you have already reached for yourself.

I have already given you a solution that would resolve your questions for you, and you have not had the respect to respond to that suggestion.  If you so choose, you can borrow a R7 or rent one and test what you need to test to assure yourself of its viability, using the glass you will use.

In the end you will come to  your own conclusions, but I fear you have already done that before you typed the first letters of your post and nothing that we say or do will dissuade you from your own reality.

I think you missed my reply to your earlier comment, Trevor. The comment you responded to was actually a response to what Waddizzle had posted.

OK, sorry about that.  I hate the new interface that changed from its old format that showed the quotes.  However, I would encourage you to do what I suggested.  Namely borrow or rent a unit that will test what you need to know for you.
