I have gotten an error message that keeps telling me that i am not using canon batteries, I purchased new canon batteries, LP-E6NH, tried them and get the same message, I can use the camera, but it doesn’t register that the batteries are even there, it has also affected which shutter mode I use. I did a reset and still nothing, any help appreciated

Greetings,

Are you using any accessories with the camera, battery grip, lens, mount adapter, third party flash, etc?

If not, I recommend you contact Canon support.  1(800) 652-2666.  Start by registering your camera in the my Canon portal. Then contact support.

I have been using the canon BG-10 battery grip for the past 6 months, only canon lenses and no other items, I will get ahold of Canon soon, just wanted to troubleshoot before that

Greetings,

If you take the grip off the camera, do you still receive the error?  If the grip is not installed and tightened properly, you can receive power related issues and battery errors.
