I have an 80D but iPhoto, Lightroom 5 & Photoshop won't import the RAW files (CR2)

I just bought n 80D and was excited with the possibility of processing RAW files (CR2) but all my photo programs won't import the files since they are not recognized. iPhoto, Photoshop, and Lightroom 5.  I am running Maverick on my Mac.  Weird thing though, Image Capture will import them. Any suggestions?

It is probably a safe bet that nothing in the camera's firmware has changed.  Did the MAC do an automatic update?  I suggest that you update your Adobe Camera Raw.
